MT Hutt hill climb Feb 10

In Feb 10, the Canterbury ATV club held a shingle sprint on the MT Hutt access road. To make the day a little more interesting for all they invited the Ashburton motorcycle club to let some two wheel bikes, and also the Ashburton car club with some rally cars to run as well. Only two riders on two wheels took up the challange, Jeff. Marshall on a New Suzuki RMX450, and John Hetrick on his Honda CRF450. (He has now seen the light and bought a Suzuki because Jeff was faster) The Car club had 12 cars run. The super quads were by far the fastest, hotly followed by the faster 450cc race quads. The two wheelers were not quite the match for the fastest 450cc quads but sat about mid feild. The rally cars sat about mid feild as well Once the loose shingle went off the top of the road and it exsposed the large rock underneath, it became quite slippery on top. That didnt effect the quads or rally cars but it made it hard on the two wheelers.
